Coming from the Aquatru Carafe, I have loved the quicker speed of the Bluevua ROPOT UV at purifying water. It makes a noticeable difference if your using a lot of water like in cooking at you didn't plan ahead on how much water you need. The build in TDS meter was verified with my own standalone TDS meter, which makes it convenient to have build in to the ROPOT.
My only complaints so far is with the water pitcher itself. The design makes the lid unremovable for cleaning so it can get a little awkward hand washing. Also I am an impatient type so it is very easy for me to over tip the pitcher and have water spill from all the extra openings on the lid meant to hold the remineralizer. The aquatru carafe did not experience this problem.
My other gripe is that the machine isn't able to sense the water level in the pitcher after purification.. if you are not careful at which water level setting you set, it can over fill. (For example if you used half the pitcher and put it back on the machine to continue filtering)
Overall though, I am satisfied with the machine. But this is still an early review where I am only 19 days into the product... long term I do not know how well it will handle the high the very hard water in my area (15.5 to 16.3 grains per gallon). I do not see water mineral build up in the water input reservoir which leads me to worry about if it is going to be all built up in the filters themselves which would mean I have to change filters more often? But I will need to see with time. It has been wonderful so far.
