Works well. Wonderful filtered and UV processed water without the plumbing issues. We just didn't have room either under the sink, nor in the garage where the water tanks is for our well water. This manual process takes a little extra time in our daily routine, but it's really not a big deal. We re-use the retentate water for rising dishes, watering plants, etc.

Always keep an extra carafe around
While it broke my heart to have to order a replacement carafe, it was a good reminder that a backup carafe is wise. I had to go to some unfortunate lengths when I broke my original carafe the other week. I didn't have an extra and I missed my delicious water SOOOOOO much. I am grateful my replacement came sooner than the shipping estimate said. And I was smart and ordered another one, just in case I have a mindless moment again. I hope I never have to use it, but brings me peace of mind knowing I have it.
